I rode by the very cool Gillespie Park Pond Improvement several organizations were involved and there were lots of people working.

I loved seeing an event like this.

I was there where were you? I was somewhat disappointed with the attendance since last year's "summit" was so great. My neighborhood Arlington Park was well represented. We won a $500 grant for best attendance - with seven people. Central Coconut had 5 and no others were close.

I will save the keynote for a little later ... Rev Damon Lynch was great. I am re-energized about ABCD / Asset Based Community Development / Community Economic Development ... but I will throw in a few buzz phrases...

100% Local Content -- Neighborhood development projects need to have as much local content as possible ... the poorer / less organized the neighborhood the more important this concept is.

Reminds me of "Natural Capitalism" all of the really good concepts sort of blend together ... is that general relativity or something...
