Sarasota County "will" vote to triple spending on Environmentally Sensitive Lands

Well I will certainly vote yes... as reported by the Sarasota Herald Tribune .. County Commissioners are looking at a November ballot question asking voters for $150,000,000 for Environmentally Sensitive Lands and another $100,000,000 for park land, beaches, urban green space and other recreational property.

I vote yes for many reasons many of which are selfish -- I love hiking and biking in the "woods" so more places is good.

Other reasons include protecting native vegetation and wildlife, creating wildlife corridors and opens space for flood control and fresh water.

We need more public waterfront land and it is super expensive and rising fast... how about $18.4 million / acre for a new record on Golden Gate Point On the waterfront now is the time to buy...
