Sarasota is all about the natural environment. We need to keep focus on our important infrastructure assets that keep that environment livable.
This is just a partial list I thought of this morning. Does anyone know how much these "systems" cost? I know that I spend a lot of money each month on utility bills ... but what does that money pay for? There is no glamour in infrastructure. Are we being good stewards of what makes Sarasota a livable community?

Ambitious program to restore two bays will need public's help

The goal of the Dona and Roberts Bays Watershed Management Program will be to restore the ecological health -- including shellfish, sea grasses and other forms of life -- of the past, when the mix of fresh and salty water was largely regulated by nature. The quest is a worthy one, but the goal won't be easy to achieve.
