Sarasota Livin'

The Next American City has a great article on how Tacoma encouraged artists to move into the downtown area - and how it worked to bring the area back to life.

Sarasota could look at that idea for some of its "walk pretty far" to downtown neighborhoods.

Bradenton is working on these ideas also. In the Bradenton Herald

"BRADENTON - The potential sale of some motels on Tamiami Trail to a local agency could pave the way for a small, independent theater or organic foods deli on the western border of the Village of the Arts."

Me thinks this will rival Towles Court in Sarasota soon.
