What is the role of government? What should local government be doing? What should local government not be doing? What is the price of government?

Is the County Comprehensive Plan supposed to be a vision for the County? Is the City Strategic Plan supposed to be a vision for the City? What happens if you live in the City of Sarasota which is in Sarasota County?

Do Neighborhood Action Strategies encourage “citizens” to discuss their shared vision?

What is the role of the County neighborhood services department or the City's Neighborhood partnership office?

How should an elected official tell a constituent "great idea go make it happen" instead of "Yes, government can fix that for you..."

How do "we" get citizens to participate in creating the vision? How do you figure out how to attract all of the different kinds of "ducks" not just the ones that only want to "quack."

Lots of people "care" and want to "contribute" how do we get them on board.

I was in a meeting today where some very interested people got together to discuss things like this. It was interesting to me..
