Sarasota Livin'

I see it is almost 6 weeks since I have posted anything. That seems about right. I have had some big changes in my life recently. I switched jobs about 3 weeks ago ... and was thinking about it for the 3 weeks before I did it.

Since I don't think I ever posted where I used to work I won't start off with my new company's name. But I am pretty happy so far. I travel more than before which is fun. Unfortunately I had a sinus "attack" that I am just getting over - it was no fun and also kept me from posting or even going outside much ...

My new company is pretty small - but not really a startup since it is a couple of years old and has real revenues ... but I used to have more people work for me than there are in the new company... I still do pretty much the same type of work -- management of software development / design -- I am just moving from the insurance vertical market to "helping the children." For me the bigger switch is going from "internal" development to being more of a consultant ....
