Sarasota Livin'

Looking at the agenda and the price this conference at the Sarasota USF campus seems to be a great deal. Ten bucks(15 at the door) and you get lunch some good sessions and keynoter:

"John McKnight is the Professor of Education and Social Policy and Co-Director, Asset-Based Community Development Institute at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. For nearly three decades, he has conducted research on social service delivery systems, health policy, community organizations, neighborhood policy, and institutional racism. He currently directs research projects focused on asset-based neighborhood development and methods of community building
by incorporating marginalized people." (quote from the conference flyer..)

I like the idea of building on assets as a strategy instead of whining about problems.
