We've hired some of the world's leading experts on urban\, campus\, environmental\, and residential design to help lead and inspire a process involving faculty\, staff\, alumnae/i\, trustees\, and students\, as well as representatives from local city and county governments\, from sister institutions\, and from surrounding residential communities and the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. In nearly every dimension\, the College is considering solutions not commonly seen or discussed elsewhere.

Raw Chef Dan's Siesta Key Dinner Party on Friday\, Oct. 13
Come experience what it would be like to eat in a raw foods restaurant in Sarasota.
Friday\, October 13 is a rare opportunity to experience the delicious food created by Raw Chef Dan\, a world-class New York restaurant consultant\, chef and teacher. On that date\, he'll be hosting a dinner party in a beautiful Siesta Key townhouse where he'll prepare many recipes over the course of three hours--a sensational buffet of tasty raw vegan treats--ranging from drinks\, tapas and entrees to fantastic desserts. The buffet will be open as the first guests arrive\, dine and mingle as more guests arrive. Raw Chef Dan will prepare and serve new dishes throughout the party. Guests will have the opportunity to watch him prepare the various recipes\, or can simply mingle and enjoy the festivities.
The party will be a fun place to socialize\, meet like-minded people\, get great ideas for dishes\, and learn even more. Raw Chef Dan will talk about a raw foods restaurant in Sarasota\, movies\, the Bio-Photonic Scanner\, Secrets of the Cube\, resources\, and books.

THE SARASOTA FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL ‘06
2006 is the fourth year the Sarasota Folk Club and the Crowley Museum &\; Nature Center have joined resources to present the Sarasota Folk Music Festival. The Crowley grounds\, historic buildings and nature trails are the ideal setting for the music. This year talented musicians of the Sarasota area will fill three stages. Folks can bring their instruments and voices to join the two old time music circles. There will be music workshops\, affordable food at two stage areas\, hay rides\, folk arts/crafts and nature displays and free on site parking. Please\, no pets or alcoholic beverages. Wear your walking shoes\, bring a chair and be ready to enjoy a day of folk music in the country. The festival is a family event that brings together lovers of Florida’s natural beauty and our folk music traditions.
