This year the tour will features properties based exclusively in Laurel Park.  <p> HISTORIC HOUSE TOUR <a href=\\"http\://search.twitter.com/search?q=%232\\">#2</a>â€”Laurel Park Neighborhood Association STYLE\:</p>
 <p>Concurrent with the tour sponsored by the Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation\, some hardworking residents of the neighborhood are planning to conduct a walking tour of some additional historic properties in Laurel Park.  </p>
 <p>Walking tour houses will all be marked by balloons and roped off from the Sidewalk\, so that people don't get confused about which houses are open.  About 400 copies of the tour itinerary will be printed.  Chilled water available for sale and t-shirts for donations (look for this at the park or Melody's Day Spa). Tables and chairs will be set up in the park for those who want to rest or picnic.</p>

Habitats goal is to eradicate sub standard housing wherever it exists and to provide worthy families with a safe and simple place to live. Mike accepted this position in July of last year after serving as a volunteer on a number of operating committees. His charter is to look for ways to grow the affiliate even though land prices and building costs in Sarasota are at an all time high. Members of the public and the media\, as well as CONA members\, are invited to attend.</p>
 <p>CONA\, the Sarasota County Council of Neighborhood Associations\, is the only county-wide coalition of fifty-nine neighborhood and condominium associations and individuals organized around making Sarasota County more neighborhood friendly. Downtown Density Bonus and Attainable Housing Policy\:  Comprehensive Plan Amendment application 06-PA-01 proposes a Density Bonus and Attainable Housing Policy that will allow the potential for increased residential densities on individual building sites in order to provide opportunities for construction of attainable housing units.  Attainable housing is defined as housing that is affordable to families with incomes in the 60% to 120% range of Area Median Income [AMI].  Projects approved under this policy would be required to provide a minimum of 10% of the total dwellings units in the attainable price range.  The program would be applicable to the Downtown Urban Mixed-Use land use classification.</p>
 <p>        As part of this Policy\, the following areas will be considered for amendment to the â€œDowntown Urban Mixed-Useâ€ land use classification on the Future Land Use Map\:</p>
