Sarasota Livin'

We had a great time listening to the Vine Street Rumba Band at the party on Lemon Ave last night. It was a great night -- the weather was perfect, the beer was cold, the price was right (free), and the crowd had fun dancing to the rumba / reggae tunes. I bought a CD that has their website but the link doesn't work and they don't “google” so no further info..


It was good to see people of all ages having fun. Little kids ( I loved the frog boots ), teenagers and above like me were all moving to the great beat. Of course, the guy in the white tee-shirt wins the dancing machine award.

Check out the web site for Downtown After 5 for upcoming events. Next is May 13th and then June 10th. No bands listed yet.

I just have to add to those of you that pay for or build web site. Flash is mostly pretty stupid -- at least give me a link to skip your flash intro it is never cool especially the second time
