No plan is perfect, overall I think Sarasota will be well served by the new urbanist focus of the "new" downtown plan. One can certainly argue any one point and Rod Thomson picks a few issues in the SHT -- building heights and Burns Court ....

So its not just condo people moving downtown...
Buchanan Auto Headquarters is moving to the Plaza at Five Points

Boar's Head will relocate to the Sarasota City Center, at 1819 Main St.

Buchanan and Boar's Head will bring at least 150 employees downtown. Thats great news for the local businesses - but may mean getting pizza at lunch will take even longer...
