Downtown Sarasota
I think creating plenty of parking is essential for a vibrant downtown. I love to take the family to dinner and would go to downtown more often if it were easier to park. I work downtown and love the environment.
Easier access to the bay front would make it much better. It isn't super attractive to cross the street with cars speeding by at 50-60 mph.
More trees!
More bars for the younger people. That requires the older people who live downtown to stop complaining about the noise. I doubt that will happen.
I am not asking for the cookie cutter retail look but some of the retail needs to be cleaned up a bit. We people downtown spending money for it to be vibrant. I am not sure what is the best way to accomplish that.
