I am just recovering from the trip back. We had a great time. I don't think India is for everyone but my family enjoyed it.

India is a land of huge contrasts. Rich and poor (the poorest I have ever seen) exist right next to each other. We saw a highend 5+ star hotel near the airport with people living under tarps at the main entrance.

But it is very unfair to only dwell on the poverty because India seems to be growing very fast ... business (all business) seemed to be thriving.

One sort of ironic thing... in Florida we are used to seeing the blue tarps used to cover homes from hurricane damage -- those same tarps are very popular in India also -- except it may be the only roof ... and no walls..
