For you non techies... landlord does not equal slumlord.

The Coalition of City Neighborhoods sponsored a trolley ride today. We did a tour of Park East, Gillespie Park, Central Coconut and Bayou Oaks neighborhoods looking at "problem properties". We had neighborhood people, City Staff / Commissioners, Landlords and "the press."

It went well since seeing is believing. We all agreed (including the landlords) that we need to work to shutdown slumlords -- lets hope we all can work together to define what a slumlord is and find better ways to make it too expensive for them to operate in Sarasota.
