June 21st Arlington Park Neighborhood Meeting with a preview of the School Ave MURT project. Lots of people great reception of the project. It will be great to be able to walk / bike / skate from my house to Siesta Dr on a nice trail



June 23th Arlington Park Cell Phone Tower meeting. Great crowd lots of new people came out to voice their opinions ... As the newspaper summed it up "Nextel gets the word from cell tower's prospective neighbors: GO AWAY.."



June 27th Neighborhood meeting about moving Luke Bidwell House and Crocker Church to Pioneer Park. There were 2 crowds there the historic preservation / DAR group that are totally into the project and the Central Coconut NA members that were very skeptical about the project... why use "open space / park land" where is the money to rehab the houses, where is the money for ongoing maintenance ... who will be using the buildings ... who will be there at 2am to keep the undesirables away...

June 28th Neighborhood Leadership Academy session lead by Michael Raposa Director of the Neighborhood Partnership Office of the City of Sarasota... "Your Leadership Style and Forming a Neighborhood Team".. It was pretty insightful... I am a "B" or bold with a strong "T" technical side..

June 29th Arlington Park Neighborhood Action Strategy Final Presentation... a presentation of the goals, objectives and recommended actions for our NAS.. it was just what most of us wanted.
