The most offending dumpster in our Sarasota neighborhood as noted in two previous posts is GONE !!!
I would like to thank the owner of the property, the Sarasota Police Department, and all of the other Sarasota City Staff that may have been involved!!!

I won't even complain about the car parking in the grass (today anyway...)
I did get one email from a property manager "explaining" some the issues around the problem:
"I am a property manager & eye sore dumpsters are a continuous problem. When you require a screen or box to be built, you create a collection barrier. Drivers will not roll out the dumpster, you must have 2 people standing by to move the heavy container out for collection.
Then it must be rolled back into the box. If you fail to be standing by, the driver will not wait. He will not return. You must pay for a special collection on an alternate day. If it is a hot summer, the smell is horrible after a few days. Also the smell attracts rats. It is a lose, lose situation.
If the dumpster is dirty looking or in need of painting, you can call the service number painted on it & they will replace the container. Generally the Waste Management or BFI customer service person is nice and will act quickly to paint or replace same.
Good luck in finding a solution."
