Mike Jacobson, the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity, speaks on providing affordable housing with land and construction costs at an all time high at CONA’s March 13 meeting set for 7:00 PM at the Waldemere Firehouse in Sarasota. Habitats goal is to eradicate sub standard housing wherever it exists and to provide worthy families with a safe and simple place to live. Mike accepted this position in July of last year after serving as a volunteer on a number of operating committees. His charter is to look for ways to grow the affiliate even though land prices and building costs in Sarasota are at an all time high. Members of the public and the media, as well as CONA members, are invited to attend.

CONA, the Sarasota County Council of Neighborhood Associations, is the only county-wide coalition of fifty-nine neighborhood and condominium associations and individuals organized around making Sarasota County more neighborhood friendly. Members of the public and the media, as well as CONA members are invited to attend.
